Research & Development
The APAC Research & Development (R&D) center was launched in Singapore 2007 with the objective of establishing new products and technological development capabilities in Asia. Brady’s R&D lab is fully equipped to perform physical, aging, environmental and/or chemical tests. The center can also conduct product evaluations that are customer focused, such as conducting specific application testing, competitive testing, material performance testing, product modifications, UL & CSA approvals, etc.
Originally consisting of 20 employees, in 2011 the R&D center has expanded to a total of 80 employees. Staff include positions such as Phd Scientists, Technicians and Engineers (Mechanical, Electrical, Software). The R&D center can be broken into two broad specialist groups, R&D Systems and R&D Materials.
The Systems department features state of the art technology, including research and testing equipment such as;
- Mechanical Printing Parameter Optimization System
- Force & Torque Measurement Systems
- Printer Reliability and Regulatory test lab.
- Mechanical, Firmware, Software and Electrical testing lab
- SMT Soldering & Rework Station, Leica Hi-Res Microscope
- ARM WorkBench - Image Analysis System
The Materials department features the following capabilities.
- Lab Formulation: Lab Coater, Lab Drawdown Box, Roller Mixer, Multimixer, Stirrer Dissolver
- Physical Testing
- Chemical Testing
- Environmental Testing
- Printability : THT, Silk Screen, Flexo, Letterpress
