Brady Introduces Freezer Bondz For Frozen Surfaces

MILWAUKEE, WI (October 13, 2003)--– Brady Corporation today introduced Freezer Bondz, a thermal transfer printable label material capable of adhering to frozen surfaces. Freezer Bondz labels can be applied to cryogenically frozen vials and will stay in place over time.

"One of the major benefits of this product is that it allows laboratories to identify (or re-identify) samples in their frozen state, ultimately maintaining the integrity of the sample,■said Jim Gross, Brady Corporation laboratory market manager.

Freezer Bondz will also survive exposure to common laboratory environments such as liquid nitrogen, freezer -70C, autoclave, and 100C hot water baths. It is also resistant to chemicals including ethanol, DMSO and Xylene.
